LRN Ranks First at Training Magazine’s Top Training Videos Awards

NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — LRN, which helps organizations meet their compliance obligations, shape ethical behavior, and strengthen culture and leadership, announced today that its educational vignette “Diversity and Discrimination in Hiring Practices: The Chosen One,” ranked first out of 140 videos submitted at Training Magazine’s inaugural Top Training Videos (Ttvs) Awards.

A second LRN video, “Trust and Speaking Up: Raising Concerns,” also ranked in the Top 10. “We’re honored to be recognized by Training Magazine’s ‘Top Training Videos Awards’ program,” said Michael Koch, President of LRN. “This award is a testament to the level of collaboration between our expert content and instructional design team and creative filmmakers, who continue to find new ways to engage employees over critical ethics and compliance topics.”

“The Chosen One” was designed to reinforce a company’s commitment and employees’ responsibility to the diversity of thought and potential for innovation that comes through a diverse workforce, as well as key points related to discrimination in hiring practices.

The Top 5 training videos were selected by a panel of expert judges, who rated submissions based on the quality of instructional design, engagement, and effectiveness (i.e., ability to change learner behavior). The videos were screened at Training Magazine’s Online Learning Conference in Chicago, where attendees voted on all five videos to determine their placement in the Top 5.

LRN’s video vignettes use an engaging mix of humor, lively storytelling, and popular culture to capture the interest of employees on a range of key ethics and compliance topics, which set the stage for deeper values-based learning through its comprehensive educational courses.
